TM 26-02 Getting Started

Member Guide

This page is for new regiment members who have completed verification and are logging in for the first time.

Logging In

TrenchQuarters uses Discord OAuth. Click Log In on the home page and authorise with your Discord account. You will be redirected back automatically.

If your Discord account is linked to more than one regiment, a guild picker will appear on first load. You can switch regiments at any time from the selector in the navigation header.

What You Can Access

Your access level depends on the TrenchQuarters role assigned to your Discord account. As a Grunt, you can:

Section What you can do
Operations View the live war map in the Operations Room. The operation selector, Present, Archive, and Publish controls are only visible to S3 S3 - Operations or higher.
Logistics View depot listings, logistics requests, and supply chain status (read-only)
Roster See the regiment member list and role overview
Field Manual Read and search all published doctrine pages

You cannot create or edit operations, manage stockpiles, or author Field Manual pages without a higher role. Contact your Command staff if you need elevated access.

Verification

If your regiment uses a verification gate, you will need to complete an application before gaining full access.

Applying

  1. Go to the designated verification channel in Discord.
  2. Click Show application options.
  3. Select the application type that applies to you (Member, Ally, or Faction).
  4. A form modal will open with your regiment's intake questions. Fill in your answers and submit.
  5. You will receive a DM confirming your application was received.

Faction Verification

If you are applying as a Faction member, the flow is different:

  1. After clicking the Faction button, you receive a DM containing a short verification code and instructions.
  2. Type the code in-game using the in-game chat on the map screen, then take a screenshot showing the chat.
  3. Send the screenshot to the bot via DM.
  4. Send your Steam profile URL to the bot in the same DM conversation.
  5. Once both are received, your submission goes to staff for review.

The code expires after the time shown in the DM. If it expires before you submit, contact a staff member.

After You Apply

Staff will review your submission in a private review channel. You will receive a DM once a decision is made:

  • Accepted: Your Discord role is assigned automatically.
  • Rejected: The DM will include the reason provided by staff.

Field Manual

The Field Manual is your regiment's internal wiki — doctrine, SOPs, and reference guides written by your Command staff.

Reading

Go to Field Manual in the main navigation to reach the index. Click any category to see its pages.

Searching

Go to Field Manual → Search or navigate to /field-manual/search. Three search modes run simultaneously:

  • Keyword — Full-text search against titles and page content
  • Semantic — Finds pages that mean the same thing as your query, even with different wording
  • AI Analysis — Generates a direct answer and cites which pages it used

Results from all three modes are deduplicated and shown together.

Discord Commands

You can search the Field Manual directly from any Discord channel using slash commands:

  • /fm search <query> — runs keyword, semantic, and AI search against your regiment's FM and posts the results publicly (the reply is edited as each stage finishes)
  • /fm reference <query> — same search, but results are shown only to you; pick one page from the dropdown and the bot posts a public reference link
